Hello My name is landon ropel. I am a sports action based in Orange County, California, working mainly in action sports. Mountain biking takes up most of my time behind the camera, but I’m also regularly shooting surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding.

My work is fast-paced and color-driven, with a focus on capturing real movement instead of staged moments. I like getting close to the action and keeping a wide-angle, immersive feel in my images something that pulls you into the scene rather than just showing it from a distance.

I’m usually out trying to catch the right moment as it happens, whether that’s in the mountains, at the coast, or anywhere the action is going down.
